Rebecca James

As your teacher, I will guide you through your musical journey in a playful manner that will give you a solid understanding of music. I promise to make learning an instrument fun and something you can enjoy for the rest of your life. I am a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and earned a BM in Music Education and Trumpet Performance (2008) and Interlochen Arts Academy. I have taught and performed in several states across the country performing in band, orchestra, wind ensemble, brass ensemble, brass quintet and pit orchestra (piano and trumpet) as well as various solo (trumpet) performances. I have accompanied for several choirs, musical theater productions and accompany my private students. I am a member of Songworks Teachers Association and was given the honor of being a Fleurette Sweeney Emerging Pioneer in Education (2012). I am so excited to make music with you!
